The Analytical-Literal Translation of the New Testament of the Holy Bible is
different from any other version of the Bible. What makes it unique is the
Analytical-Literal Translation (ALT) enables the reader to come closer to what
the New Testament writers originally wrote in a far greater way than any other
version. It does so be providing four unique features:
1. The ALT is a very literal translation of the Greek New Testament. All
words in the original text are translated-nothing is omitted.
2. The grammar of the Greek text is translated in a way that brings out
"nuances" of the original text.
3. The ALT is based on the newest and most accurate Greek text, the Byzantine
Majority Text. This Greek text is the most exact reproduction of the original
manuscripts possible.
4. The ALT includes aids in brackets within the text that help the reader to
better understand the text. These include:
a. Alternative translations for words and phrases.
b. The figurative meanings of words and phrases.
c. Modern-day equivalents for measurement and monetary units and time
designations.
d. Explanatory notes.
Now a few available versions might provide one or two of the above features.
But no version incorporates three of these features, let alone all four. And
with all of these features, the ALT is truly the ideal version for the serious
student of the Bible.
The Lord's Prayer in the ALT (Matthew 6:7-15)
6:7 "Now when you pray, do not use vain repetitions [or, many meaningless
words] like the Gentiles, for they suppose that they will be heard by their many
words.
6:8 "Therefore, you* shall not be like them, for your Father knows what [things]
you* have need of before you ask Him.
6:9 "Therefore, _you*_, be praying like this: 'Our Father, the [One] in the
heavens, let Your name be regarded as holy.
6:10 'Let Your kingdom come; let Your will be done, as in heaven, [so] also on
the earth.
6:11 'Give us today the bread sufficient for the day.
6:12 'And forgive us our debts [fig., sins], in the same way as _we_ also
forgive our debtors [fig., the ones having sinned against us].
6:13 'And do not lead us into temptation, _but_ deliver us from evil [or, from
the evil [one]]. Because Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory into
the ages [fig., forever]! So be it [Gr. amen]!'
6:14 "For, if you* forgive the people their transgressions, your Father, the
[One] in the heavens, will also forgive you,*
6:15 but if you* do not forgive the people their transgressions, neither will
your* Father forgive your* transgressions."

Matthew Chapter Six
6:1 “Be taking care not to be doing your* charitable giving before the
people, in order to be seen by them; but if not [fig., otherwise], you* do not
have a reward from your Father, the [One] in the heavens. 6:2 “So when you are
doing charitable giving, you should not sound a trumpet before you like the
hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, in order that they shall be
praised by the people. Positively, I say to you*, they are receiving their
reward in full. 6:3 “But when _you_ do charitable giving, do not let your left
hand know what the right hand is doing, 6:4 in order that your charitable giving
shall be in secret, and your Father, the [One] seeing in secret, will Himself
reward you in the open. 6:5 “And when you are praying, you will not be like the
hypocrites, because they affectionately love standing in the synagogues and in
the corners of the open streets to be praying, in order that they shall be seen
by the people. Positively, I say to you*, they have their reward in full. 6:6
“But when you* are praying, enter into your private room, and having shut your
door, pray to your Father, the [One] in secret, and your Father, the [One]
seeing in secret, will reward you in the open. 6:7 “Now when you pray, do not

you shall not appear to the people [as] fasting, _but_ [only] to your Father,
the [One] in secret, and your Father, the [One] seeing in secret, will reward
you. 6:19 “Stop storing [or, treasuring] up treasures for yourselves on the
earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal, 6:20
but be storing [or, treasuring] up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where
neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in nor steal,
6:21 for where your* treasure is, there will your* heart [fig., inner desire] be
also. 6:22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, if your eye is healthy,
all your body will be full of light. 6:23 “But if your eye is bad, all your body
will be dark. Therefore, if the light in you is darkness, how great the
darkness! 6:24 “No one is able to be serving as a slave to two masters, for
either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one
and despise the other; _you_ are not able to be serving as a slave to God and to
worldly wealth. 6:25 “For this reason I say to you*, stop being anxious [about]
your* life, what you* shall eat and what you* shall drink, nor [about] your*
body, what you* shall wear. Life is more [than] the nourishment, and the body
[more than] the clothing, is it not? 6:26 “Look attentively at the birds of the
air, for they do not sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns, and your heavenly
Father provides for them. You* are of much more worth than they, are you* not?
6:27 “But which of you*, by being anxious, is able to add on his height one
cubit? 6:28 “And why are you* anxious about clothing? Be attentively observing
the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not labor, nor do they spin [to
make clothing]. 6:29 “But I say to you*, not even Solomon in all his glory was
arrayed like one of these. 6:30 “Now if God clothes in such a manner the grass
of the field, being [here] today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, [He
will] much more [clothe] you*, [O you*] of little faith, will He not? 6:31
“Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or, ‘What shall we
drink?’ or, ‘What shall we wear?’ 6:32 “For all these [things] the Gentiles
seek, for your* heavenly Father knows that you* have need of all these [things].
6:33 “But be seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all
these [things] will be added to you.* 6:34 “Therefore, you* should not be
anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for the [things] of itself;
sufficient for the day [is] the evil of it."
